Sticky Cider & Mustard Sausages – An Autumn Banger!
These Sticky Cider & Mustard Sausages are dangerously moreish: sausages roasted in a sweet-sharp glaze until sticky, golden, and glossy. Perfect for bonfire night or as a hearty supper.
Serves 4 as a main (or loads as party snacks)
You’ll need:
- 12 good quality pork sausages (chipolatas or our favourite, an Aubrey Allen Cotswold Sausage!)
- 200 ml Pearson’s Medium Cider
- 2 tbsp wholegrain mustard
- 2 tbsp runny honey
- 1 tbsp soy sauce (adds depth)
- A knob of butter
How to make it:
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (fan 180°C). Arrange the sausages in a roasting tin.
- Roast for 15 minutes until they’re starting to colour.
- Meanwhile, put the cider, mustard, honey, soy, and butter in a saucepan. Simmer for 5 minutes until syrupy.
- Pour the glaze over the sausages and toss well.
- Roast for another 20 minutes, turning occasionally, until sticky and golden.
- Serve hot with mash and greens – or stick cocktail sticks in them and serve as nibbles.
