Rustic, Easy & Crowd-Pleasing!
For these Hard Cider Sausage & Veggie Skewers, the sausages and peppers get a light cider bath before being threaded onto skewers, then charred to sweet-savoury perfection. One bite, and everyone’s asking for the recipe.
Hard Cider Sausage & Veggie Skewers Ingredients (Serves 4)
- 8 bratwursts or your favourite sausages, cut into 4 cm pieces
- 1 red pepper, cut into chunks
- 1 yellow pepper, cut into chunks
- 1 red onion, quartered
- 200 ml Pearson’s Dry Cider
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp whole-grain mustard
- 1 tsp chopped fresh rosemary
- Salt & pepper
Method
- Marinade: Whisk cider, oil, mustard, rosemary, salt & pepper. Toss sausage and veg; marinate 30 minutes at room temperature.
- Assemble: Thread sausage, pepper and onion alternately onto soaked wooden skewers.
- Grill: Over medium heat, turn every 3 minutes, cooking 12–15 minutes until sausages are browned and veg tender.
- Enjoy with a bottle of your favourite Pearson’s Cider.
