We entered our Medium Dry and Petros ciders in the Three Counties International Cider and Perry Competition a few weeks ago.
As it was raining, we had a bit of work to do in the barn, and well, we’ve only been going a few years, we didn’t bother to turn up for the judging.
Sod’s law, we get a phone call the next day to say we’ve won first prize in both categories. It’s a funny old world.
Anyway, Alan has been banned from taking any more holidays this year, the mill is ready for the 80 tons of apples we’ve got coming in the Autumn and the new tanks are arriving in a couple of weeks.
That’s it for now, but we’ll be posting a few cider making pictures once we start this year so keep an eye open for them!
